Dr. Andriana Papaconstantinou -
Visiting Fellow
Dr.
Papaconstantinou received her PhD in 2003 from the George Washington
University, Department of Biology where she studied the mechanisms
of estrogen-like effects for environmental endocrine disruptors in
the mouse uterus. In 2002 she joined the Center for Devices and Radiological
Health of the FDA as a postdoctoral fellow where she studied the
estrogenicity of bisphenol A in the hippocampus of rat embryos. She
joined the Laboratory of Experimental Carcinogenesis at the NCI as
a Visiting Fellow in 2003. Her projects focus on carcinogen-induced
early gene alterations in the rat mammary gland and on the role of
STAT5A in PhIP-induced mammary tumors.
