Cunping Qiu, MD, Ph.D. - Visiting Fellow

Dr.Qiu got his MD and Ph.D. in 1989 and 1998 from Stomatology School, West China University of Medical Sciences, China. He was a oralmaxillofacial surgeon and researcher in Chongqing Medical University and Shanghai Second University. He focused on carcinogenesis, invasion and metastasis of oral cancer. He joined Dr.Snyderwine's lab to work as a visiting fellow in 2001. Now Dr.Qiu is working on the mechanism of carcinogenesis in the mammary gland, studying microsatellite instability, loss of heterozygosity and the role of tumor suppressor genes in chemical-induced mammary gland cancer.
