Mark J. Miller, Ph.D. -
Staff Scientist
Dr.
Miller received his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology
in 1976 and was a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. E. Peter
Geiduschek at the University of California, San Diego. While at UCSD,
he helped develop one of the first computer systems for the analysis
of two-dimensional gel electrophoretograms. He came to the NIH in
1981, continuing to develop and refine this computer system and to
apply it toward detecting protein changes that occur during the neoplastic
process. His primary interests lie in the application of computer
technology to biological problems.
